These terms are an agreement between you and Friedlander Associates Inc. (doing business as NJ Car Wash Insurance), a New Jersey-licensed insurance agency (NJ Producer License 9725274, NPN 5735331). By using njcarwashinsurance.com you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

Informational content, not advice

The coverage explanations, wash-format explanations, region and city pages, and guides on this site are general educational information about insurance for New Jersey car washes. They are not a quote, a binder, or a recommendation for your specific operation, and they do not create coverage. Policy forms, limits, endorsements, exclusions and pricing vary by carrier, by site and by risk. Nothing here amends or interprets any policy you hold — the wording of your own declarations page and endorsements controls.

Where we describe a garage keepers basis, an equipment breakdown limit or a business income extension, we are describing how those forms generally behave in this class of business. Whether yours behaves that way is a question about your paper, not about this page.

Regulatory material we cite

This site summarises public New Jersey rules that bear on car wash operations — among them the NJPDES permitting provisions at N.J.A.C. 7:14A, the septic prohibition on industrial wastewater at N.J.A.C. 7:9A-1.6, the Phase I drought restrictions at N.J.A.C. 7:19-13.3, the ISRA subject-NAICS list at N.J.A.C. 7:26B Appendix C, Spill Act liability under N.J.S.A. 58:10-23.11g, and the New Jersey CRIB workers compensation class code for automobile car washes. We cite them because they change what your programme should look like.

Those summaries are not legal advice, environmental compliance advice, or a substitute for reading the rule. Regulations, permits and municipal ordinances change, and your sewerage authority or municipality may impose requirements this site does not describe. Quotes and placement

Submitting a quote request, your declarations pages, your garage keepers endorsement or your loss runs does not bind coverage and does not create an agency or client relationship until we confirm it in writing. Coverage is bound only when a carrier issues it. Quoted figures, indications and turnaround times are estimates and depend on underwriting.

Documents you send us

When you upload declarations pages, policies, loss runs, equipment schedules or payroll summaries, you confirm you are entitled to share them. Please do not send us personal information about your employees or customers beyond what a quote requires — and where payroll or claims records include it, we will use only what the placement needs. Uploaded documents are read by secure document-processing services, including OCR and AI tools, before a licensed producer reviews them, as described in our Privacy Policy.

Intellectual property

The content, design and marks on this site are owned by Friedlander Associates Inc. or its licensors and may not be reproduced without permission. Carrier and manufacturer names shown anywhere on the site are the property of their respective owners and appear for identification only.

Limitation of liability

The site is provided "as is." To the fullest extent permitted by law, Friedlander Associates Inc. is not liable for any damages arising from your use of, or reliance on, the information presented here.
